Christian Cuff 'Silo' poster finished

I've been working on a poster for an upcoming gig of Christian's in February and here's the most recent work.

He's happy with it so it probably won't change much from this.

Christian Cuff - 'Silo'

I'm working on the album artwork for singer/songwriter 'Christian Cuff'. We're currently working on pinning down the final image but this is close.

Check out Christian's music here http://www.myspace.com/christiancuff

KC's Band

One of my favourite things to draw is a musician though I usually sketch straight from a performance shot. I was browsing photos of Kelly Clarkson's band performing when I came across a fantastic shot of Einar (Pederson - the bass player). After an initial sketch it struck me that he'd make a great cartoon character. One thing lead to another and I ended up with the full 'My December Tour' line-up.

Sandi Thom - 'Dancin' With The Ghost of Stevie Ray'

I spotted a bulletin from Sandi Thom on Myspace a while back saying that she was holding a competition to find the cover of her download-only single 'Dancin' With The Ghost of Stevie Ray'. I entered and was successful :)

Aron - 'Shelter' Concept Cover

So I've been trying to come up with a cover image for my friend's book for quite some time now. As with everything I draw I need to allow the idea to ferment for a while before I attempt putting it down on paper. Of course the usual time period involved is a day, as in I start thinking in the morning or the night before and, by the time normal people are heading to bed, I start drawing. This time I exhausted all my ideas months ago without arriving at anything I was even slightly happy with so I let it be.

The pages of the book that I'd read were very inspiring, but nothing gave me any ideas until two nights ago. I was looking at the album sleeve photos of a 'Lenny Kravitz' cd and a profile shot of him struck me. As I drifted off to sleep, the way to incorporate branches into the cover hit me and I had to get up at 3am and quickly sketch it all out before I forgot it.

The image on the left is actually a second drawing I did, using the first as a basic foundation for the structure. No word as to whether or not my friend likes the idea, but I'm happy.
